Hello there and welcome to Livifanzine!
My name is Olivia, but you can call me Liv and I am a 20 something fashion obsessed, travel hungry blogger from London.
Having formerly enjoyed a career in the world of magazine journalism and having worked with some of the UK’s most recognised publications such as Glamour, Cosmopolitan and OK! I found myself continuously wanting to create content for myself, not someone else.
Livifanzine was created a little over two years ago and has grown into a site which I am hugely proud of.
You may be wondering where the name for this blog came from but it was honestly a miss-match of all things. Of course, my nickname Liv is in there, fan because I wanted to create a platform where fellow bloggers and readers could all connect and zine because, well I’m not so sure about that but somehow it works.
I have grown up in London and always had an interest in current trends, celebrities and beauty. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in London where fashion and culture is so diverse and free and I really got to experience life with no boundaries. I could wear what I wanted, be who I wanted and basically, live life to the fullest.
I finished college at the age of 18 or so and straight away got stuck into interning, whether it be within the PR department of fashion houses, doing admin at a fashion photographer or running errands for Vogue, I was there, ready to learn and willing to do anything!
After around 8 months of interning, I landed my first *real* job at OK! Magazine as a researcher and writer. I was interacting a lot with bloggers online and I was really in the thick of things when social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat took off. MY friends were making YouTube videos, blogging themselves and always planning mini photo shoots on the weekends.
I spent a few years at different magazines until last year I decided to pack it all in and go full-time with my blog.
I have so much freedom with the content I create, I can travel a lot more without the constraints of work and generally just really enjoy connecting with my amazing followers.
